Federal Government Announces Support and Changes for International Students Studying at Canadian Universities

Earlier this week, the Government of Canada announced a number of measures to support international students pursuing an education at a post-secondary institution in Canada. They said the purpose of these changes is to give students “more certainty about their ability to enter Canada once travel and health restrictions are eased.”

Canada Student Grant Allows Students to Earn up to $5,000 This Summer for Volunteer Service

Earlier this week, the Government of Canada announced the Canada Student Service Grant. The new Canada Student Service Grant (CSSG) provides qualified post-secondary students and recent graduates with volunteer opportunities while supporting not-for-profit organizations with flexible solutions to address COVID-19 response during summer 2020. You can apply for a grant from $1,000 up to $5,000 once you complete your qualifying volunteer hours.
